The skills learned building and managing a cattle operation blend well with a career in renovations and construction management. Brent's children are the seventh generation of Purdies to live here while Jon's kids are the fourth generation of local Weddells.Brent's background is in agriculture but in 2002, he decided to switch gears and join the construction trade. We have been renovating with the 'Homestead Spirit' since 2004.The owners of Homestead, along with their families, Jon Weddell and Brent Purdie, are long time members of the Red Deer community. Jon is a journeyman carpenter and a Certified Engineering Technologist (Civil), who has been working in the construction industry since 1992.
